Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Over 13 million people are affected by typhoon ‘Yolanda‘, one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded which struck the Philippines, on November 8, 2013. The deadly typhoon, was preceded by 7.2 magnitude earthquake in the island province of Bohol, claiming at least 4000 lives, leaving scores of them displaced from their homes and communities. Empowered to Witness

To succeed in evangelism we must be bold in our faith. Then we become empowered to evangelize and witness Christ. Our theme for the year 2014 is taken from

2 Timothy 1:7-8. “For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control. So do not be ashamed of your testimony to our Lord, nor of me, a prisoner for his sake; but bear your share of hardship for the gospel with the strength that comes from God.”

We must, therefore, courageously march forth responding to the calls of sainthood, martyrdom and spiritual warfare.

Heralds of God’s kingdom, we all are,
but none show the desire to play the part,
the world itself has turned sour,
but Jesus is the same at heart.

His word is medicine to our flesh.
He is the ultimate authority.
His redeeming sacrifice frees us from our mesh
