The Regional Youth Conference 2016 was held from the 4th to the 6th of November at The Kings’ School in Margao, Goa. The CFCI National Singles Conference with the theme “SOUL ON FIRE” was held from 19th -21st August 2016 at Old Goa. Singles from several states and cities across India such as Bangalore, Udupi, Mangalore, Mumbai, Pune, West Bengal, Assam, Gurgaon and Goa (Porvorim, Caranzalem, Santa Cruz and Margao chapters) participated in the conference.
“Faith”, the CFCI band from Goa led the three-day conference through praise and worship, helping the participants to come together in the presence of God. Continue reading
St. Josephine was born in an affluent family in Sudan. Her uncle was the village chief. She had three brothers and three sisters. She enjoyed a very happy and carefree early-life.
Her life took a dramatic turn when she was abducted by Arab slave traders and sold several times, over the course on the next twelve years. It is said that the trauma of her abduction caused her to forget her own name. Therefore, she took one given to her by the slave traders, Bakhita which meant lucky in Arabic. My family which includes my parents, my brother and I were an ordinary Catholic family who lived in the Gulf. We went for Sunday mass and prayed regularly. My parents were both God fearing Catholics and despite their busy schedules, they brought us up well. Continue reading
