Being a part of the community for two years, I’ve always heard about people’s amazing mission experiences and I’ve always wanted to be a part of a mission but no opportunity came my way. Fortunately for me, after a long wait I got a chance to be a part of a mission to Assam. I was extremely excited for it albeit it would be a month long. I had no expectations to be met since it was my first time. Somewhere towards the end of March 2017, I received an invite from a community brother to be a part of the CFCI Full-Timers and Mission Volunteers Retreat, that was to take place in May 2017. This really excited me, as it was an opportunity to meet and interact with not only the full-timers and mission volunteers, but our country servant, too. Being young and without any mission experience whatsoever, I was quite surprised at this invitation. However, I believe God led me to this retreat which turned out to be an absolute blessing. Christian institutions today make it compulsory for their students to attend a retreat at the beginning of every academic year. Just like last year, the campus ministry of CFCI Singles, Bangalore reached out to many institutions to conduct weekend retreats. God in His abundant mercy, and love for His beloved children, opened doors in not one, but several well-known colleges.
We kicked off our campus ministry for the year 2017 with a retreat at Mount Carmel, PU College, in Vasanthnangar. Around 430 students attended the two-day weekend retreat at their college auditorium on the 23rd and 24th of June, 2017. Continue reading
