Sex in your City – Pune

An event called ‘Sex In Your City‘, (SIYC) based on St. John Paul’s Theology of the Body (TOB), was held for the youth of the Pune diocese on 26th March, 2017 at Sacred Heart Parish, Pune. This event was organized by the CFCI Singles of Pune for the first time. The various sessions were delivered by experienced young speakers from CFCI Singles Mumbai. A number of creative tools like videos, PowerPoint slides, flex banners, dances, skits, songs, teaching aids, personal testimonies, etc., were incorporated. These helped make the sessions engaging and comprehensible, while retaining its depth. The event was made lively with action songs which were something new for most of the participants. Handmaids Enrichment Retreat

The Handmaids of North Goa finally had their long awaited Handmaids Enrichment Retreat, “HER“, at Dassya in Porvorim. The retreat began on 25th of March, a beautiful day, which marks the Feast of the Annunciation. Sacrament: A moment of Encounter

I remember when I was going to receive the sacrament of confirmation. I was excited and thrilled. I was the youth version walking down the aisle, more like a preview to getting married. I remember the emphasis on what clothes to wear and how grand a party we will have after mass. It was an atmosphere of celebration and festivity, but largely limited to superficiality. As I reflect back, I feel that in this whole focus of inviting people for the party and deciding on what food I should serve, just to ensure that they do not gossip about how stingy we are, I missed out on a very important point – that I was going to encounter Jesus.
