The more the humility, the better the littleness!

Jeanne Jugan grew up in a small town in revolutionary France, in 1792. Times were tough as violence ruled during those days. For thousands, begging was a way of life. Those who openly practiced their faith were not merely ridiculed but they were imprisoned or killed. Jeanne received her faith formation secretly and at great risk, from her mother and a group of women who belonged to a lay movement. Later, she went to work as a kitchen maid for a wealthy family. When I was approached to serve at a North-East mission in Assam, I was super excited as I always wanted to serve God on mission. But this privilege came with a choice; choosing between my student concert and the mission. I asked God to direct my path and help me discern what His will was for me. Break Out 2017

The Couples for Christ India-Singles attended their annual National Singles Conference, held at the St. Joseph Vaz Spiritual Renewal Centre, Old Goa from the 18th to the 20th of August 2017. The event saw a large turnout with around 240 delegates hailing from far and wide, crossing borders and rivers to get to Goa. We had our brothers and sisters from Assam, Gurgaon, Pune, Mumbai, North and South Bangalore, Margao, Caranzalem, Porvorim, and a new area this year, Mangalore. Drawing from the theme of the year, Romans 8:14, the conference was called Break Out. Continue reading
