The angel said,
“Do not be afraid Mary for you have found favour with God” – Luke 1:30
Today’s gospel reading brings to light a few interesting points:
- Mary knew it was medically not possible to conceive since she was a Virgin. Yet, she trusted in God and His plan.
Do we trust in God when things aren’t going right in our life?
- Even though she was pregnant, her first thought was about her cousin, Elizabeth and how she could help her.
Do we put the needs of others before us? Or do we think of ourselves only?
- Mary lived a life that was exemplary. A life of trust, humility and submission. And this found favour with God.
Do we find favour with God by the life we lead?
