Advent Series: Spiritual Paralysis

“Finding no way of bringing the paralytic in because of the crowd, they went up onto the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles”

– Luke 5:19

I would like to reflect on 3 points today:

  1. The paralytic found it difficult to meet Jesus.

Often, our sins and fears paralyse us from having a proper relationship with Jesus.
Can we work towards improving our relationship with Jesus, this Advent season?

  2. No matter how difficult it was to meet Jesus, the paralytics’ friends still found a way to do so.

Are we ready to make sacrifices so that we can spend time with Jesus in prayer?

  3. The paralytic was unable to meet Jesus but his friends took him to Jesus.

Are we bringing our friends closer to Jesus or taking them away from Him by the life we lead?

Do you have a friend who is far away from God? Start by praying for him/her daily, maybe send him/her these reflections, subscribe to a magazine like Divine voice, etc. for him/her.
