The Marriage Enrichment Retreat was held at the Divine Retreat Centre in Mulki from 7th to 9th February 2020 and was attended by twenty couples. During these three days we went through various teachings, sharings and activities which helped us renew our love and appreciation for our spouse and of our togetherness in loving, honouring and serving God. Amulya Rodrigues is a full time pastoral worker for Love Life and Family, Public Charitable Trust. Like a true Mangalorean she loves to eat pork. However her love for the Father God exceeds that. Known for her short and sweet nature, she enjoys finding silliness in the most dullest of places. Her academics has an equally interesting twist, having done her BA in English, Psychology, Criminology, she went on to do her masters in Multimedia and subsequently worked for Manipal Global before becoming a full timer. Her joy lies in knowing her Father God as you may catch her saying 'I am my father's daughter' with a huge grin.
If I were to introduce myself, it would go somewhat like this: I am impulsive, sensitive, stubborn, silly, love all that is yummy to my tummy (or rather my tongue) and would do my best to bring joy to the people I truly care about. However, I’m not here to share about myself, but about a little saint who in a few ways was like me, and in other ways, inspired me to desire something greater. That little saint is Saint Therese-the Little Flower whom I was briefly introduced to in school and again more concretely about 4 years ago through reading her autobiography “The Story of a Soul”. The Couples for Christ India organised the Young Couples Conference 2018 (YCC) from 23rd February to 25th February, 2018, at the National Biblical Catechetical & Liturgical Centre (NBCLC) in Bangalore. The Conference was themed “GOD’S KNOT – A threefold cord is not quickly broken”, and revolved around the role of a husband and wife in a marriage, and the importance of God’s presence in making a marriage happy and joyful.
