Welcome to the Unending Love

The Couples for Christ, India, conducted the first module of the Christian Life Seminar at Auxilium Convent, Dum Dum, Kolkata, themed, “Welcome to the Unending Love” on May 5th, 2018.

The program was attended by 32 couples and 78 individuals, who came without their spouses. The children of the participants were looked after by Conrad and Pallavi Fernandes, who kept them entertained all through the day. Continue reading


The Saint of the Gutters

As the world stood still on the 4th of September, watching the canonization of Blessed Teresa of Kolkata live from the Vatican, it was a proud moment for all of us living here in Kolkata. Apart from the celebrations that have started around a month ago and will continue for the next couple of months, we as Christians feel overwhelmed to have our very own Mother Teresa up there in heaven to plead for our cause. New Beginnings

The community of Couples for Christ in Bengal, organized their first ever Christian Life Seminar on 18th July 2015; the theme of which was “I am the way, the truth and the life!” The program culminated on 30th April 2016 with the members committing to continue their walk with God and to serve in the community of Couples for Christ. Weekend with the Holy Spirit

The CFCI organized a weekend retreat for the Full time Pastoral workers as well as other community members from Goa from the 25th -27th of September 2015 at St. Pius X Pastoral Institute in Old Goa.

This retreat was on the Gifts and Charisms of the Holy Spirit and was conducted by Brother Benjamin Gonzaga, a lay preacher from Chennai, who is closely associated with Fr. Thamburaj, a pioneer in the Charismatic Renewal. Bro. Benjamin gave us an insight on all the Charisms available, 22 in all, based on Isa 11:2, 1Cor 12:18, Rom 12:4-6 and Eph 4:11-12. He reiterated that all these Charisms and Gifts are already in us by virtue of our baptism. We only need to stir them and use them for the glory of God’s kingdom.
