All things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
Leading up to the Christian Life Seminar (CLS), my life was in shambles. At this point in my life, when everything seemed like an utter mess, the Lord found me and picked me up. I was an extremely angry and impatient girl, who would snap back if things didn’t go my way. This resulted in me spoiling a lot of my relationships. My prayer life was nonexistent and I was extremely restless.
I joined the CLS in the Porvorim Chapter in September 2015, just in an attempt to set right the mess in my life. Slowly but surely, I started developing a prayer time, something I used to do way back in my college days but which had died off. As my relationship with the Lord improved, small changes began taking place in my life.
My relationship with my mom has improved a lot even though there is still some way to go. I was able to reconcile with so many of my friends with whom I had misunderstandings or who were hurt by me. My anger and impatience have reduced a great deal and I am much calmer now.
As the Psalmist writes,
“Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out from their distress; He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad because they had quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven.” (Psalm 107:28-30)
My journey in this community albeit for a few months, has been an amazing one. I pray that I am able to continue growing in my spiritual life through this community and share with others the wonderful things that the Lord continues to do in my life.
