Though I know the practice of receiving communion in the hand was adopted and approved by the Second Vatican Council, I personally prefer to receive communion on my tongue. The reasons are –
“Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.”
Every time I utter this prayer before receiving communion, I feel a strong desire to claim God’s love and make myself worthy of His love.
I was told there aren’t any like you left,
Holiness is drained,
Hell on earth has already reigned,
Soon we will all be slain,
But before that happens,
Come make merry with us,
