CFCI organized it’s first ever program exclusively for the men of our community titled ‘Knights Of the Cross‘ from 1st – 3rd April 2016 at St. Joseph Vaz Spiritual Renewal Center, Old Goa.

It is February already! While we are still in the afterglow of the Christmas season, it is time to say hello to Lent. One of my personal favorite seasons (weirdo that I am) and along with Lent comes the list of ‘sacrifices’ and ‘abstinences’. While we have become comfortable giving up meat, of late the young crowd (which I still relate myself with, deniers can take a hike) have come up with more innovative ‘give ups’ for Lent.
While I am trying not to completely rip-off my inspiration for this post (thanks Christina Mead!), I am making an attempt to create a ‘give-up’ and ‘take-up’ list closer to the Indian youth context. Continue reading →
‘An Encounter with God‘, the three day Couples for Christ India (CFCI) Singles retreat, was conducted from 5 to 7 December 2014, at Snehadaan, Bangalore exclusively for the African community in India.
Tito Tony Corriea and Tita Maria Corriea, full time missionaries of CFCI serving in Africa, led the three day retreat, where intense teachings, vibrant gospel music and energetic dance were all found under one roof. After the National Singles Conference ‘A Glimpse of Heaven’ which was based on St John Paul II Theology of the Body (TOB), it was the desire of the CFCI community to spread this message to all. We agree with George Weigel, author of the biography on St John Paul II, who described TOB as “theological time bomb set to go off with dramatic consequences“. The community was more than willing to activate this “theological time bomb” here in India. Thanks to the support of His Holiness Bishop Agnelo Gracias, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Bombay and fellow catholic apostolates Family of Faith & Foundation and Opus Dei, this desire turned in to reality on Sunday, October 12, 2014 in Mumbai.
