An exciting thrill added to the chill in the air on 7th February 2016, when the Mumbai CFCI Family came together to spend an evening at St. Peters grounds in Bandra. The young and old alike joined in praising the Lord through song and dance, which was immediately followed by the Eucharistic celebration. The most awaited day had finally arrived! It was a historic moment as Couples for Christ India (CFCI) – Bangalore witnessed its first ever ‘Family Day’ on December 13th, 2015 at Snehadaan. CFCI – Bangalore which started its journey in 2007 saw a gathering of about 150 people, which included the couples, singles, youth and the kids from both the North and the South chapters of Bangalore. The Family day in Mangalore was held on 17th September 2015. The program was held in the evening, 4pm onwards, for the first time in Mangalore, promptimg it to be informally known as Family Evening.
The event began with the Eucharistic celebration at Our lady of miracles church, milagres celebrated by the bishop of Mangalore, Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul Dsouza. The bishop in his address acknowledged the work done by CFCI and wished success in reaching out to more families in the coming year. Continue reading
